Vannika ("we", "our", "us") operates the Vannika mobile application. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your personal information when you use our app. We are committed to protecting your privacy and complying with India's Digital Personal Data Protection (DPDP) Act 2023.
By using Vannika, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this policy.
Information We Collect
When you use Vannika, we collect the following information:
- Your name and email address (via Google Sign-In)
- Profile picture from your Google account (optional)
- Photos you upload for style analysis (processed and immediately deleted)
- Your style analysis history (text only — no photos stored)
- Payment information (processed securely by Razorpay — we never see your card details)
- App usage data (anonymous analytics to improve the service)
We do NOT collect your location, contacts, call logs, SMS, or any other sensitive personal information.
How We Use Your Photos
This is our most important privacy commitment:
- Photos you upload are sent directly to OpenAI's API for AI analysis only
- Photos are processed and permanently deleted immediately after analysis
- We never store your photos on our servers
- We never use your photos for training AI models
- We never share your photos with any third party
- Only the text result of the analysis is saved to your account
How We Use Your Information
- To provide and improve the Vannika style coaching service
- To save your analysis history so you can access it later
- To manage your subscription and process payments
- To respond to your support requests
- To send important service notifications (not marketing without consent)
Third-Party Services
Vannika uses the following third-party services, each with their own privacy policies:
- Google Sign-In — Authentication. Google Privacy Policy applies.
- OpenAI API — AI style analysis. Images are processed per OpenAI's API data policy and not retained.
- Razorpay — Payment processing. Razorpay Privacy Policy applies. We never see your full card details.
- Supabase — Secure cloud database for storing your text analysis history.
Data Storage and Security
Your data is stored securely on Supabase servers with the following protections:
- Row-level security ensures you can only access your own data
- All data transmitted over HTTPS/TLS encryption
- Database access requires authentication at all times
- We comply with India's DPDP Act 2023
Your Rights Under DPDP Act 2023
As a user, you have the following rights:
- Right to Access — Request a copy of your personal data
- Right to Correction — Correct inaccurate personal data
- Right to Erasure — Request deletion of all your data
- Right to Withdraw Consent — Withdraw consent at any time by deleting your account
- Right to Grievance Redressal — Contact our grievance officer for complaints

Data Retention
We retain your data as follows:
- Account information: Until you delete your account
- Analysis history: Until you delete it or close your account
- Payment records: As required by Indian tax law (7 years)
- Photos: Never retained — deleted immediately after analysis
Children's Privacy
Vannika is not intended for users under the age of 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from minors. If you believe we have collected data from a minor, please contact us immediately at support@vannika.in.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any significant changes via email or in-app notification. Continued use of Vannika after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
